FRIDAY, MARCH 9 , 6- 7:30pm - "We Sing of Peace”: Exploring Emotional Stability, Health, & Wellness Through Song, with Asher Leigh at Base Camp, 56 Ravenscroft Drive, Asheville 28801. This group is welcome to anyone who is seeking a safe place to explore their feelings through music. No formal singing experience necessary! PLEASE NOTE 6- 7:30pm
SATURDAY, MARCH 10, 11:00am - 5:00 pm - Art Opening, Aurora Studio & Gallery will have an exhibit at Trackside Studios, 375 Depot Street, Asheville in the River Arts District 28801. Aurora Studio offers supportive art workshops for artists who have been affected by mental health issues, addiction or homelessness. On MARCH 10, Trackside Artists will donate 10% of all sales to Aurora Studio.
SATURDAY, MARCH, 7 - 10 pm - ZELDA’S COCKTAIL PARTY - A ROARING 20’S EVENING at The Pillar Rooftop Bar located at Hilton Garden, 309 College St, 6th Floor, Asheville, 28801. THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 6:00pm - 7:30 pm - Highland Hospital: Practices, Treatment & Mental Health, Discussion hosted by Dr. Daniel Johnson MD, who will offer a presentation on the psychiatric practices that took place at Highland Hospital at the Lord Auditorium at the Pack Memorial Library, 67 Haywood Street, Asheville 28801.
FRIDAY, MARCH 16, 6:00 pm - Zelda Fitzgerald’s Jazz Age Literary Karaoke, with readings by Tom Downing, Michael Crosa and Allison Stinson at Malaprops - 55 Haywood Street, Asheville 28801. Literary Karaoke where the public is invited to read published works by Zelda or writers of that era for 3 - 5 minutes. SIGN UP is with Malaprops.
AND from 7 - 8:30pm, Monika Gross of At-A-Site Theater as part of the ongoing project Celebrating the Birthdays of Dead Writers: the afterlife of the written word, will be offering intimate one-to-one readings of Zelda Fitzgerald's writings.
